We build resiliency and work towards a zero-carbon, zero-water, and zero-waste development.

Brodie will provide a dependable, low-carbon and adaptable energy strategy for the new development. Collaborating closely with partners at Austin Energy, the team is seeking optimal energy solutions at building-, site- and district-scale. At building scale, all residential and commercial development shall comply with the Austin Energy Green Building (AEGB) Star rating system for a minimum three-star rating. The project will also be LEED-ND and SITES certified.

At site scale, Brodie is exploring phased, centralized district cooling and heating alternatives, on-site renewable energy generation and microgrid solutions with battery back-up. In addition, the project will look to future design teams to challenge structural solutions and material choices to prioritize low- embodied energy solutions.
